Did you know that Queen Anne Farmers Market (QAFM) is run in large part by a great group of volunteers? From the chef tent assistants that support some of Seattle’s finest chefs to volunteers that commit to one special event for the market, every single volunteer is responsible for making QAFM great. Join us this season!
Set Up/Tear Down Volunteer
Are you the type of person who likes to get their hands dirty? Do you just LOVE helping setting up and tearing down events? Does it excite you to see how market set up unfolds (and folds back up) each week?* Then, this position is for you. Every week, we set up and tear a number of tents, tables, waste stations, electricity hubs, and special event supplies, and we need your help! Note: Are you also super strong? This position must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Information Tent Volunteer
Are you friendly? Do you love helping find people answers to their questions? Do you love to talk to people? We need you at the Information Tent each week! At the Information Tent, we answer customer questions, run SNAP transactions, and help vendors with breaks or whatever they need (just to name a few things). We sure have a lot of fun and would love for you to join us.
Special Event Volunteer
Do you love cooking demos and book readings and everything local food? Then this opportunity is for you! Each week, we have an exciting special event, a special event that would not be possible without your help! Also, have an idea for a special event you'd like to see this season? Hit us up -- we're all ears.
Kids Program Volunteer
NEW THIS SEASON! We are launching a full-fledged Kids Program this year. We're still in the planning stages and are in desperate need of some volunteer leaders to help take this program under their wing. Love kids? Love teaching kids about nutrition and local food all while having lots of fun? We need you!
Photos your thing? Well, QAFM is an excellent subject! We'd love for you to come out and take some photos. We'll use them for our website, social media, and newsletters (and, of course, we'll give you props).
**Check out K. Mae Studio - she took most of the photos for our website.**
